An admired friend of mine has convinced me to start blogging again, and maybe create a different lane for myself, outside of the routine rigmarole I’ve been calling my life as of late. Apparently a guy who is “relatively intelligent” (inside joke), loves his silly kids to shreds, cooks a mean pizza from scratch, raps a little bit, can write a mean SQL stored procedure (nerd alert), and finds obnoxious amounts of pleasure in a good dad joke might interest some folks.
As much as I used to enjoy blogging, and sorta, kinda of miss being really active on social media (I really don’t though), it didn’t take long to convince me to get out of my latest hermit spell.
So, if you care to occasionally tune in, follow, subscribe, bookmark, or whatever term you’re comfortable with doing, hit a button somewhere on the screen and look out for some daily funnies, food excursions, random rants, music, etc, etc… ✌🏽
In the spirit of Valentines Day, we present to you, IRON CURTN – “Roses”
Arablak x Solomon August x Dirty Commerce
Directed by William Feagins Jr.
Peace to my guy, actor/comedian extraordinaire, Snub aka Jerrell Anderson on the cameo.
So, about a year or so ago, my good homie (and doppelganger) Rick told me I really need to start blogging again. Writing is one of my passions, whether it’s a rhyme or a simple Facebook status I usually find myself putting a lot into my words as I find language is one of the most versatile forms of expression. It took me a while to get my site standing up again, and then another while to go ahead and backfill some older content, and then for this moment where I actually (re)introduce it to you all.
I can’t say you should expect a ton of content in the immediate days, weeks, months, etc, but I’m making it a point to get back to start sharing more with people outside of the typical social media platforms.
For this occasion, here’s something I made a while back but hadn’t shown more than a couple friends. I was listening to the Pete Rock & DJ Premier episode of drink champs and was reminded of it. Where I don’t consider myself a super producer by any means, I do however realize I can do a little something-something on the boards, and find this a pretty appropriate offering for this post.
