** UPDATE 11/04/2019 ** :: It’s been over 5 years since the text below was posted, and I’ve since changed my stance a bit on the effectiveness and use of voting. I still feel the emotion behind the words below, but the tactics may be different today. I may share eventually after more thought about it.
The function of the police, is to enforce laws put in place by the legislative branch of government. The legislative branch of government is selected by a voting process, per state. Municipalities have their own laws that are intended to not deviate from their respective state laws, and the state laws under the federal laws. Situations occur when deviation do occur, but that’s another topic, and isn’t important for the sake of this point.
With the legislature being put together by civil servants, intended to represent the state and municipal localities, logic deems that the laws are developed to serve and protect the citizens (and future citizens) who take part in selecting and funding the government officials deciding them. The enforcers of these laws in-turn would also be “civil servants” working for the people, logically deeming us their “civil masters”.
The police are supposed to be working literally FOR us, not against us. If we continue to take part in the constituency voting for and funding them, but are only returned unwarranted savage treatment, the only logical step is for us to discontinue our civil and financial support of the government until proper changes are made.
IF THE BLACK COMMUNITY ORGANIZES, AND COLLECTIVELY STOPS VOTING AND PAYING TAXES, OUR DEMANDS WILL BE HEARD AND EVENTUALLY MET.
The reason we are here is because we are needed, but the 11th Law of Power, is clearly being used against us:
*Learn to keep people dependent on you*
· To maintain independence you must be needed and wanted.
· The more you’re relied on, the more freedom you have.
· Make people depend on you for happiness.
· Never teach them enough so they can do without you.
Once we realize how vital our community is to this nation’s well being, we will have all the leverage we need to get the EQUALITY we want and SO deserve.
NOTE: (This idea does not originate from me alone. It also can’t be put into action by me alone. It’s time for us to decide if we value ourselves enough to form a truly united front, in a language that really matters…… MONEY.)
